FriendFeed Fix-it Day #1: Bug fixes and new services

We had a "Fix-it Day" at FriendFeed on Friday, which means we spent all our time on the top bugs and feature requests from our discussion group. You can now add these web sites to your FriendFeed:

See the complete list of services at the top of your FriendFeed home page.

We also fixed a bunch of bugs, including:

  • When deleting a photo entry, the entire entry is now deleted instead of just one of the photos. (original thread)
  • The FriendFeed embed widget now has square corners to work around the background color issues people were having.
  • Comment links in our emails and Atom feeds now link a permalink that won't go stale (original thread)
  • "Unsubscribe" links now only appear in the public feed when you are actually subscribed to the person
  • We increased the paging limit so you can now page past the 11th page of your feed.

Thanks for the continued bug reports and feedback! You can chat with us and other FriendFeed users in the FriendFeed discussion group.

vey good job guys, thank you.

a suggestion:

The Hype Machine is better for loved tracks than last.fm

i recommend for last.fm a feed from the recently played tracks.

cheers.

May I request that Google Books' My Library function be added in the next update? That's what I use for my own books.

Please make Friendfeed Embed more customizable, that would be nice. At the Moment im removing the css via JS but would be cool if i can just have the plain data without the stylesheet link. Great service anyway

There are three services I'm heavily using and which are not available. Maybe you could add

- Facebook
- MySpace
- Xing

That would be great! :-)

@finyard: Facebook is available, at least sort of. There is an application you can add. I'm not sure how much data it pulls in, though. If you want to take a look, check out this page.

@escax: Deletion page. It's linked from the privacy policy, but I guess Kevin and the gang need to work on its visibility some more...

Thanks for the new services. What about adding Dailymotion?

Or even better, let users/developers define their own services? And even even better, let developers share their services in a directory and let people choose them.

Hi guys,

When I'm logged in to FriendFeed, I've got 3 tabs : Friends, Me, Everyone. I would like to subscribe to my Friends tab RSS feed without subscribing to mine.

How should I do this? Don't want to go to some freaking Yahoo! Pipes filters etc.

Would love to see Buzznet.com integration... For mobile picture uploads. :)

Can't seem to import my goodreads account. Is it because I have an author profile?

Hi
I'm having a kind of spam blog entries called "Payday Loans with No Employes", that I didn't subscribe, and isn't my blog. How should I unsubscribe to this?
Excuse me for asking here, but I didn't find a "help" or "support", and I'm a begginer in this.(and this is the only topic I found that I could write about this).
Thank you for your help.
