For you Twitter users: When you are commenting on a Twitter post in FriendFeed, you now have the option of sending your comment as an @reply in Twitter as well:
I am sure the devs have seen Scoble's comment about FF taking over for Twitter: http://scobleizer.com/2008/04/21/twitter-grabbing-defeat-from-the-jaws-of-success/ . I know I would love it if plain comments on FF could be pushed to Twitter. That way I could use FF exclusively as my interface to my friends' content online. It also could help migrate more people to FF in those times when Twitter's servers go down.
Just for the record, I had wanted to title this blog post: "We're bringing Twitterback. Yeah." :)
ReplyDeletei just tried it and it didn't work :(
ReplyDeleteJust wrote a quick review of this feature.

Capsule summary: good work!
PS: I hope it works, per MK's comment.
Marshall: it only works in reply to Twitter messages. I believe you were commenting on a post from a blog. Sorry for the confusion!
ReplyDeleteThat is a great feature. I hope more services take a cue from this.
ReplyDeletegreat example image :) - even better new feature. nice work.
ReplyDeleteYes! Now I can get rid of the "other" twitter app on my iPhone! More free space equals more productivity!
ReplyDeletePS
When are you going to add Orkut to the FriendFeed Mix?
If you need an RSS feed to make it live, OrkutFeeds.com can hook you up!
Awesome addition. Thanks guys.
ReplyDeletejust noticed this change! this is a great feature!
