You can turn this off by clicking the Hide link under one of the FOF activities. Then you will be able to hide all friends of a particular user, or turn off FOF notifications entirely.

I find it much too spammy to read the FOF stream (especially if you're friending someone like Scoble).

The friend-of-a-friend feed is completely overwhelming my first-order friend feed. I suspect this is because there are several two-hop paths between me and the founders of FriendFeed. You guys are posting a ton of stuff, and apparently Dan Egnor will comment on anything.

That's a pretty compelling feature. The thing I find most interesting right off the bat is being able to see both sides of a twitter conversation. I could see how it could be a bit overwhelming if you have a bunch of friends. Lucky I don't have that problem... :)
